The CEO and CTO of Koha Digital, Peter Cheong and Melvin Lim respectively paid a courtesy call on the CEO of Cybersecurity Malaysia, Ybhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab and his team in Cyberjaya

CYBERJAYA, January 28, 2022 – The CEO and CTO of Koha Digital, Peter Cheong and Melvin Lim respectively on January 28, 2022 paid a courtesy call on CEO of Cybersecurity Malaysia, Ybhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab at their headquarters located in Cyberjaya. This was also attended by their leadership team including Dr Solahuddin Bin Shamsuddin, Chief Technology Officer, En Mohamed Anwer Bin Mohamed Yusoff, Head of Industry Engagement & Collaboration, En Wan Shafiuddin Bin Zainudin, Head of Information Security Certification Body, Puan Norahana Binti Salimin, Head of Malaysian Security Evaluation Facility (MySEF) and En Ruhama Bin Mohammed Zain, Manager of Department of Cyber Security Professional Development.

Koha Digital is keen to explore collaboration opportunities in the field of digital legacy planning with CyberSecurity Malaysia.

During the visit, both parties discussed potential collaborations in aspects of digital legacy planning. “Through this meeting with CyberSecurity Malaysia, we were able to have a good discussion on how Koha Digital can collaborate with CyberSecurity Malaysia in ensuring that digital legacy planning is accessible to everyone despite their age and religion,” says Peter Cheong, CEO of Koha Digital.

Koha Digital’s strategic engagement with Cybersecurity Malaysia is aimed at identifying and driving various collaborations to promote public awareness towards digitalisation of legacy planning. “Since CyberSecurity is an agency responsible in providing a broad range of cybersecurity innovation-led services, programmes and initiatives to help reduce the vulnerability of digital systems, we find it important for them to play a role in realizing the importance of proper digitalization of legacy planning for the sake of the future generations of Malaysia. This could also help to lower the number of unclaimed assets in Malaysia which to date, has over RM90 billion worth of unclaimed assets, majority of which are held by the Malays”, continues Peter Cheong.
