Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinuddin had a distinguished career in the Malaysian Judiciary, beginning in 1976. He served in various legal roles, including Deputy Public Prosecutor and Legal Advisor, before becoming a Judicial Commissioner in 1994. He was elevated to the Court of Appeal in 2005, the Federal Court in 2007, and became the Chief Judge of Malaya in 2011. He served as President of the Court of Appeal from 2017 until his retirement in 2018. Currently, he is a Syariah Court Judge, Arbitrator, and Mediator, and mentors law graduates.
Datuk Wira Ahmad Nasfy Bin Yasin is a distinguished legal professional with over four decades of experience. Graduating from the University of Malaya in 1981, he held roles such as Deputy Public Prosecutor and federal counsel, representing Malaysia internationally. He served as a Sessions’ Court Judge for 19 years, then as a High Court Judge for over 11 years, before becoming a Court of Appeal Judge in 2020. Prof. Dr. Ashraf bin Md Hashim is an esteemed independent Shariah adviser with a prominent presence in both Malaysian and international Islamic finance industry. He currently chairs the Shariah Advisory Council of the Central Bank of Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia and holds key advisory roles across numerous organizations, including the Securities Commission Malaysia, Tabung Haji, and International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation. Prof. Dr Ashraf’s vast consultancy experience has led to major contribution to the development of Islamic finance frameworks in various countries such as Maldives, Tajikistan, and Nigeria. Dr. Ashraf earned his PhD in Islamic Law from the University of Birmingham.
