Facebook has a feature called “legacy contact” that allows you to designate a person to manage your account after you pass away. Here are the steps you can take to set up a legacy contact:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings.
  2. Click on the “Security” tab.
  3. Scroll down to “Legacy Contact” and click “Edit.”
  4. Select the person you would like to be your legacy contact.
  5. Confirm the selection.

Once you have designated a legacy contact, they will have the ability to do certain things on your account, such as writing a post to your timeline, responding to friend requests and updating your profile picture and cover photo. However, your account will still be deactivated and your personal information will not be shared with anyone.

It is important to note that the legacy contact will only have access to your account after Facebook has confirmed your passing via an official document.

It’s also good to let your designated person know about your decision and make sure he/she knows how to contact Facebook to notify them of your passing.
