IPOH, February 27, 2022 – The Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) has been signed between Koha Digital Sdn. Bhd. (“Koha Digital”) and The Ipoh Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (“ISPCA”) on Sunday February 27, 2022 at Ipoh, Perak. The MOU was signed by Mdm Cheng Pei Ling, Chief Operating Officer of Koha Digital and Mr. Soong Wai Chiew, President of ISPCA and witnessed by Mr. Peter Cheong, Chief Executive Director of Koha Digital and Ms. Foo Wai Yong, Vice President of ISPCA.
The number of abandoned pets in Malaysia is increasing since the Movement Control Order (MCO) was enforced due to Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. In order to achieve one of Koha Digital main objective which is to pledge RM 100 Million to Malaysia Non-governmental Organisation (“NGO”), Koha Digital had taken an initiative by offering a comprehensive platform for ISPCA to advertise their organization and raise funds. With this initiative, Koha Digital is hopeful that more abandoned pets and animals will be protected under ISPCA at Ipoh, Perak.
“We are very delightful to have the opportunity to collaborate with Koha to promote our non-profit organization as our animal shelter depends completely on the generosity of the public for its monthly survival. I hope this collaboration will be an eye-opener that animals need care and help too.” says Mr. Soong Wai Chiew, President of ISPCA.
