KUALA LUMPUR, October 4, 2024 – Koha Islamic Digital (KID) has been proudly announced as the 3rd place winner for the recent Securities Commission Malaysia’s (SC) FIKRA ACE Accelerator winning RM20,000.00. The accelerator is part of a three-year program designed to promote the growth of the Islamic Capital Market (ICM) by fostering innovative fintech solutions.
Koha Islamic Digital (KID) is a leading platform focused on safeguarding family financial futures and maintaining harmony through comprehensive estate planning, offering both Islamic and conventional wills. By combining modern technology with expert guidance, KID provides personalized services to help people clearly express their wishes. The platform is also creating a strong network of legacy planners, supported by specialized courses and continuous education.
KID was one of 25 startups selected to participate in this accelerator program, which aimed to foster innovation and growth within the ICM. After joining the initiative, KID worked diligently on developing and refining its fintech solutions, ultimately distinguishing itself among the participants. As a result, the startup progressed to the final stages of the program, earning a spot as one of the top 10 finalists. At the summit, KID had the opportunity to pitch its innovative solutions to a panel of judges and a group of potential investors and eventually secured 3rd place, marking a significant milestone in its journey.
The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with NEXEA, the program’s accelerator partner, and is further supported by key ecosystem partners, including the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). Together, these organizations are working to strengthen the program by leveraging their expertise and resources to drive innovation and growth in the Islamic fintech space. This partnership aims to ensure that the initiative has a broad reach and a significant impact on the ICM by fostering collaboration across various sectors.

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) introduced FIKRA ACE, a three-year program aimed at bolstering the Islamic Capital Market (ICM) by encouraging the growth of Islamic fintech. Building on the SC’s earlier efforts, including the FIKRA accelerator launched in 2021, FIKRA ACE focuses on identifying and supporting fintech companies, helping them integrate into the ICM ecosystem. The program also seeks to build industry talent and capacity. FIKRA ACE is divided into three components: Accelerator, Circle, and Excel, each designed to foster innovation and growth in the Islamic fintech space.
