KUALA LUMPUR, November 19, 2021 – The Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) has been signed between Koha Digital Sdn. Bhd. (“Koha Digital”) and Malaysian Buddhist Co-operative Society (“MBCS”) on Friday November 19, 2021, at Plaza Arcadia Desa Park City. The MOU was signed with Mr. Alwin Aw, Chairman of MBCS. According to Koha Digital, MBCS will be the first Co-operative Society to collaborate with Koha Digital to help MBCS in raising their donation. It has been one of the main objectives of Koha Digital to pledge RM 100 Million to charity organisations.
To achieve this objective, Koha Digital took an initiative step by offering a comprehensive platform to any Co-operative Society and Non-governmental Organisation (“NGO”) that wants to utilise it to advertise their organisation while also raising funds. Although the platform is for online will writing, Koha Digital provides a one-way platform where users can plan and at the same time donate directly to any Co-operative Society or NGOs, in this case, MBCS.
“It is exciting for us to collaborate with Koha Digital. MBCS main services are to provide funeral service to our members and also provide elder care to the old folks. However, we noticed that some of our members do not have proper planning of their estate and we always advise them not only to plan their funeral but also their estate. We want to make sure that our members and everyone have a proper exit plan. When Koha Digital offered us this platform, we immediately took this golden opportunity. We want to give back to the community. Not only they can plan for their estate and funeral but also, they can donate to charity organisations. This is our first step of going digital”, says Mr. Alwin Aw, Chairman of MBCS.
